Hello, I’m Liesel! As an illustrator and digital painter, I love to get lost in the fine details that make stories feel real. My greatest passion is cover illustration for new adult media that explores mythology, atmosphere, and symbolism. Born in Germany and growing up in a military family, I’ve moved over a dozen times and have experienced a variety of cultures and communities, all of which I enjoy incorporating into my practice. My favorite projects are those that bring grounding, real-world elements to fantastical themes.

My work has been featured in the Society of Illustrators 2026 Student Competition Gallery as well as the ICON 13 Viewfinder Gallery, among other exhibitions. I’ve worked with local and remote clients in cover art, poster illustration, mural design, and more. I graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design in 2026 with a BFA in illustration and have since settled in Wisconsin to pursue my love of cheese and pickles alongside my creative career. When I don’t have my nose in a superhero comic, you’ll find me doing exactly that.
